OK, did you check the most recent poll we are taking on www.nsxpo.com ?

The question being asked is:

If you had the choice would you like the NSX to have ...

More understeer
Less understeer
A Little oversteer
No changes; leave it as is

Currently, with only 18 self reported answers, 50% chose no changes - leave it as is, which is "very" understandable given how many believe mother Honda never makes mistakes .... LOL! But, surprisingly only 2 voted for more understeer.

So all you boy racers who are running full stiff front sway bars, adding the Type R front bars, ........... where are you? Let's spice it up for those after market vendors ......

;)

I don't understand. You are asking people who modify their cars ("all you boy racers who are running full stiff front sway bars, adding the Type R front bars") how they would like the handling of stock cars to be changed. This makes no sense to me.

I like the original NSX handling so much that I changed tires, shocks and anti-roll (incorrectly called anti-sway) bars. :p

Hey man, give me a well-balanced mid-engine car that handles well on the street (who cares about marginal under/over steer on the street). Most people don’t even know how to drive well enough to tell the difference and even among educated drivers the same car may understeer for one and oversteer for another just because of different driving styles.

We can make it do what we want it to at the track because once the tires change, marginal OEM designed under/oversteer is out the window anyway.

There are so many user settings that affect the handling like:

driving style (heavy trail braking will increase oversteer)
Tire selection
Wheel selection
Tire pressures
Alignment settings

Change those above to achieve the desired effect in certain track/weather conditions.

This is my first priority mod right now. I drove Ken's car. He just installed it.
Ken's car is becoming a beast. I hope my chassis will fit the holes.

As for the question... I don't remember how the car felt when I first go it.
I put anti-sway bars and Eibach suspension after I owned it for a year... at which time, I was a crap driver.

I think my car now with TEIN Type-RA w/10kg front 10kg rear and Dali medium bars set to full stiff up front and
full soft rear is pretty balanced, but still has a slight hint of understeer on parts of the track which are bumpy.
I think I'm going to reduce the front bar by one notch and hope for less understeer on certain turns.

I think the OE NSX should have a hint more oversteer, but I think it is good enough for most beginners.

BTW,

the type R front chassis reinforcement is a great addition. IF you don't have it, go get it and try it. GREAT improvement on the track!
