By the way, the other less known use of this mat is to protect the underside of the trunk lid when stuffing the trunk to the limit with your track gear or groceries. And we all have found ourselves in that predicament haven't we ..... :biggrin:

I find myself leaning toward the fender when I open the engine hood...just because i'm a short short short kind of owner like 3 ft. tall

What's the material made out of? Is it the same material as the OEM?

I"m assuming it doesn't scratch the paint right?

Hmmmmmm, material you ask ..... how about synthetic with foam padding :biggrin:

As an FYI, we will soon be introducing the 3.5" harness pad with a special logo for the racing harness belts. The first template should be finished in a few weeks. Stay tuned.

The trunk deck is quite a handy place to set tools.

Buy three of these and they are still cheaper and easier to handle and more versatile with their multi-use when compared to the bulky OEM, and you can actually mix and match different colors too ..... LOL!

Mark, I have pestered the shop to do a larger one for some time now. Unfortunately the pieces (1000 at a time) come pre-cut from Taiwan in 2'x3' ..... trust me, I have tried. It took me a year to get to do it in red ...... !
