Hi Lance and Martin,
It looks like you both are having a great time! The countryside is beautiful, as is the Mugen Si! You're fortunate to actually be able to drive the Mugen Si over there, if you attempted to drive it here it would be gone in 60 seconds...just like the movie. I can't let my ITR out of my sight when I park it somewhere. People have already tried to steal it twice. :frown: I'm currently looking for an S2000 to add to the Honda/Acura collection. I'll be using it as my daily driver. How are you doing back at work Martin? I changed jobs a couple months ago; I'm an IT Systems Engineer at a large casino here in Las Vegas now. I'll see you when you return Lance, and stay in touch Martin!
Best Regards to you both,
Tom
Hi Tom
Great to hear from you.
Yeah we had a great time. I was able to enjoy the ride going along some pretty nice roads. They were great passangers.
Not pushing the Civic to the limit of course. But as Lance said that he understands that people that do not understand my ability would not be that happy about my driving. I am very happy that I was able to keep the drive quality high at all times. The most we did in one day was 434 miles. And I did all the driving.
Well I had Lance drive for a stretch of road. But I was a lot smoother. He kept on hitting bumps and forgetting I have 6 gears. Since my Civic has been Mugenfied it does not like bumps that much. So I had to take a executive decision and strip Lance for his driving credentials
My mother flips if I go above 3500rpm. What the heck is that for a Hondaholic?
Yes you told me about the ITR and how it is with that. It is very sad. It's quite nice to have a Civic Mugen Si as the daily driver and then have the NSX when I wants to have real fun.
I have not driven the NSX much as it needs new CV boots and a new control arm. I have all the parts and Lance and me will take it to the garage on tuesday.
I see I wrote NSXPO2011 in my initial post. I ment 2010. I have decided to go to NSXPO2011 too. I was about to pull the plug on that idea when I got the mail from NSXCA that the registration was open some time ago. In that mail it said that there were people from far away places as Japan and Norway coming.
Since I know that the person from Norway was me I could not dissapoint them or myself. So I am going. I am in the middel of insurance thing here. But I'm sure I will prevail. It's strange how hard it is to make the insurance company realise that I knows best.
Work? Well I am supposed to be back at work working at one firm that gives REC Scancell (solar cell manufacturer here in Narvik) data support. But they are down until 3 of october. I have had a 2 week vacation now and is now taking a few days of since I have pushed way to hard last year so I have a lot of time I have to "use" off work. I hope that REC Scancell gets back to the normal routine as it's a major thing of my life.
I wrote you a mail where I wrote about what makes me tick. Not sure if you got it. I can resend it if you want.
It's a lot that I now know why I do or think post trauma.
Best regards
