I am pretty active in the S2000 Community. This past weekend we had our official S2Ki Wake the Dragon event. It was pretty nice out Saturday morning, however started raining in the early afternoon. Unfortunately due to bald tires most of the day was spent at the local tire shop getting new rears, however I did get some nice shots from KillBoy later in the day! Just thought I'd share...

Beautiful shots. I can now see clearly how low the NSX look in this colour. Is it lowered and did you use any wheel spacer?

H&R Lowering Springs with Bilstein Struts on the lower perch - approximately 2.5" drop! The wheels were way too far in after that aggressive of a drop, so I went with H&R 15mm Front Spacers & 25mm Rear Spacers.

Prior to this picture I had 225/45/16 front's and 245/40/17 rears. These pictures were taken just after I had the new rears installed, Michelin Pilot Sport SP2 255/40/17.

I need a camber kit bad though. Right now I have -1.5° Front Camber & -4.3° Rear Camber. The rear is as far as we could possibly fix it. :(

Very nice looking NSX and pictures. Do you have HIDs?

Yeah. The night before leaving for the trip one of my good friends told me that he had a set of 8500k HID's sitting in his tool box that he didn't want anymore. That night we installed them and it was one of the larger mistakes I'll ever make - they are actually duller than the stock bulbs, ever after they were adjusted.

Plan to pick up a set of McCullough HID's in the near future, probably 4300k!

duller? probably just the hid kit isn't of high quality or did you just change bulbs? You should get a full hid kit (ballast/bulbs) and with 6k or 8k you won't be disappointed, very bright

You sold the S2K? Glad you got your NSX, figured you were getting an early model but you really stepped it up. Sick ride. Looks unreal and a perfect stance.

That first photo is a gem. Nice stuff!

photographing in the rain can be difficult with lower light and the obvious water problem. But looks like this photoshoot paid off! :)

right click/save those pics are very nice, especially the 1st one!

Well, duller probably wasn't the best choice in words. It is a full kit, ballast and bulbs. I'm not too certain what the issue is - he has a 10000k HID Kit from the same manufacturer in his Audi A4. Not only are they more blue, however they are brighter than the 8500k that we installed in my NSX. They were used... so perhaps they are just losing efficiency. I haven't done too much research on HID's, so I can't be certain.

Either way, within the next couple of weeks I will be ordering a set of McCullough 4300k HID's!

Yeah - I sold both the Evo8 and the S2000 back in the middle of January. On January 28th Dave22 and I flew out to Saint Louis and picked up this 2001. Best purchase I've ever made!!!

That's what I've heard. A lot of my friends who are real big in to photography have told me that it is very difficult to shoot in the rain. I believe that KillBoy took 1-2 shots of my car prior to the skies opening up, however these shots impressed me much more!

The higher the kelvin the brighter it will look but less visability, I recommend 6k as its a great compromise of that "HID look" and visability/brightness. 4300k will look yellowish unless you have projector housings which give that blue/purple tinge from afar. Just my experience (I sell/install HID kits on the side).

After looking at those pics, come to think of it, I just realized that the NSX does resemble a dragon in a way that its sleek, low, it has headlight dragon eyes, and that aggressive stance that just tells you "dragon!" Thanks for sharing the pics! Definately excellent photography. Great choice on the NSX purchase. There is a saying here that states "If you buy an NSX the only regret you will have is not buying one sooner . . .

You're just blowing smoke at anything above 4300K.

4300K is the closest to natural light and the brightest bulbs you can buy. Anything above that gets blue and (at 10000K) purple.

I haven't done extensive research, but have done a bit here and there. From what I've been able to gather - 4300k is the brightest you can possibly get. Anything less than this you lose light and gain a yellow tint, anything higher than this you will lose light and gain a blue tint. The NSX comes standard with projectors!

So far I've experienced 3000k, 4300k, 6000k, 8500k, 10000k, and 15000k. My favorite by far was the 4300k!

That's what all my research has pointed to - stating that 4300k was by far the most useful HID. Isn't this what BMW and Lexus use on their vehicles?

4300k does produce the most useful light (best visibility). From my research, BMW and Lexus use 4300k HIDs. The Honda S2000 also uses 4300k HIDs. I love the headlights in my S2000, and I hope to get HIDs for my NSX that are similar.
