A friend of mine recently purchased a 98 Black/Tan (Beautiful car)w/14K

His mods consist of RM cold air intake,Exhaust and recently lowered it with HR springs and got 2" from it.

Question?? He wants to add the HR spacers/adapters (25mm) all the way around but he thinks-

1)Front would rub (since its 2" lower)

2)super light steering

Anyone with a 97+ went through the same set up?

by the way he is running OEM rims w/ 225 fronts and 255 rears.

tips /advice highly appreciated.

thanks in advance,

2 inch! thats really really low.... speed bumps, hills, bumps, potholes, enough said.

btw I am amazed cuz I live in a hilly area and PA is known for its potholes...

that said got any pics??!?!??!

H&R Springs with stock wheels is very low. I have 17/18 wheels with H&R springs w/ Koni's and the car sits just right. I think we have another NSX owner on the board that has H&R springs w/ spacers 25mm front and 40mm rear. I think his handle is gheba_nsx. Here is a link that has pics of his car with spacers: http://www.nsxprime.com/ubb/Forum13/HTML/000191.html

Hey, another two inches and it's just about scraping the body standing still.

Andrie uses this size tire, wheel, and H&R spacers on the track. I don't think he has rubbing with stock size tires.

I had the stock shocks and H&R's for 2 years before making a change. The stock shocks were no match for the H&R's (despite what the CompTech wide body car has).

I also not only messed up my lip, but the front bumper too. Also scrapes under the car and not being able to go a lot of places made me re-think my strategy.

After talking to CGI Motorsports http://www.cgimotorsports.com and Phil (great people). I ended up with the Bilstein shocks (top perch) and Eibach springs. A little lower but not overly so and the handling is MUCH better then stock on a 91'. No suspension setting to worry about and great everyday drivability. I couldn't be happier or recommend them more.

As a matter of fact - having driven a Zanardi I think my 91' feels almost identical in suspension travel and rebound. A little firmer then stock but a much better package at the track.

YMMV.
