I am sure this is obvious to all but me, but where is the oil pump gear physically located? I am having my transmission taken out as part of a 6 speed swap and the the 'as long as I am in there' possibilities are starting to make me wonder. Already have the basics lined up (NSX-R input shaft, light fly, & OEM clutch). Slave is new. Belts are in good shape. Anything else?

TIA to all who can help-

Mark

Other side, under the timing belt cover, lower housing.

Hi... it's located on the other side of the crank...where the time belt is...it is behind the crank pulley (the one with the balancer inside)...

i hope i'm not misleading you

Thanks guys, I appreciate it!

Be sure to have the rear main oil seal replaced while they are there too. That is the one that seals the crankshaft just under the flywheel.
