Took the car out of the garage this morning and noticed 2 spots of oil under the car. I remembered I hit something really hard with the car the night before and I was worried maybe I broke something. I looked under the car and I do see oil in several places but I dont see anything broken. Can someone take a look at my pics and give an idea where the oil is leaking from and wether it something that can be fixed easily or I need to take it to a shop.

When I went to check the oil level I noticed the dipstick was not all the way in. I dont think any oil leaked from here but thought I should mention in case it could be something.

Front spool valve seals and valve cover seals are the first place to look. Your pics indicate this is not a recent leak, but has been leaking for a long time, based on the residual dirt in the wetness.

IF you have a serviec manaul and tolls you can investigate these items. if not, take it to a qualified shop for an inspection.

Thanks for the input.............Is this an urgent issue as in dont drive and tow to shop or make an appointment when I have some free time and drive it in?

BTW - Yes it does look like oil had been leaking there before but I have had the car parked in the garage for 1 week and no oil was leaking.........now suddenly oil is leaking.

Easiest way to find out is to put a dye into the oil system.

I ususually do this to find oil leaks fast and easy. Often the problem with oil leaks is the old is mixed in with the new so its hard to tell.

with the uv dye, you can definitly see where the leak is coming from and there is no guess work and unnessary labour for the customer.

You can either get a dye and light kit at NAPA yourself, this will probably run about 80-100$ or you can go to your fellow nsx mechanic for them to spot the leak and give you an answer.

warm regards

A trick we use in aviation. As your going to clean it anyway use a contact cleaner, brake clean, etc and make sure it's CLEAN. Go buy a $3.00 can of spray foot POWDER. Spray the suspect area, let it dry,(a few minutes) start the engine and the oil pressure will push out the oil and the leak will be obvious in the white powder. A no brainer. The powder rinses off with H2O. Been doing it for years. It's cheap as well.
