Oil Filter Sandwich Adapter Solution? For Oil temp & Pressure.

I've been doing some research on this topic, and haven't found a crystal clear solution; so I'd like to ask the prime community knowledge base.

My main question - is there a sandwich adapter that will cater to both 1/8" oil pressure and temp sensors, and fit a 91' NSX?

I can't seem to find a sandwich that fits the 3.25" diameter OEM filter, or even threads into the oil filter's 22mmx1.5 threads. Most sandwiches are 2.5-3" in diameter, and only offer a 20mmx1.5 thread size.

So are you guys just running a different OEM filter? I've heard that the S2000 filter will work.
Because that would seemingly fix the problems I'm running into. I can simply run the standard Greddy sandwich adapter, with something like an S2000 oil filter.

Thanks for any advice.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

SOS says that their sandwich adapter won't work with a oil temp sensor because of the design. Will was also saying that the 1/8" threads are tapped on a curve, so Defi sensors can only get a few threads in before seating against the plate. A bit scary.

Mocal units seem to be under 3" diameter which would require a different filter than the large NSX filter.

Does anyone run a smaller oil filter than the standard NSX size? It seems necessary.

Look at post #94 In pic #2 you will see the NSX has a short oil filter (Honda brand), in fact this is the latest listing in our parts catalogs: 15400-PL2-505

You will also see that the NSX in pic 3 Uehara san(Chief Engineer and Father of the NSX) pointing upward to the car on the lift at the refresh center at the Honda Factory. (Same Car) Somehow I think you will be OK using the filter above;)...

Now if you need a different diameter for this, I do not have an answer for you. The "shorty" is the same diameter as the original filter.

Thanks for your post Larry. That thread looks amazing! I'll have to review it sometime.

I am indeed referring to switching to a smaller diameter oil filter, since most oil filter sandwich adapters seem too small for the OEM NSX filter diameter. I'm assuming that other NSX owners have done this, but I haven't received any feedback yet. Hopefully someone can chime in.
