Yes, I dont understand the jacking up the car part at all..I never have had to do that.
What I find more of an issue is using drive-on ramps. Most have an approach angle that is too sharp to clear either the front spoiler or rear panels behind the wheels. I finally found some ABS ramps at AutoZone that were sloped gently enough to allow a drive on. I find the ramps much quicker and easier than jacking and stands for most undercar work.
