oil cap question

i added a quart of oil to the NSX i bought 3 weeks ago. the cap was on REALLY tight. it is a plastic cap black probably the stock one. i am a fairly physical person i needed all my strength to get it off. question - i am used to just putting them on finger tight. should i be using more torque? what do you guys do?

Put a rag over it to protect it and use channel-locs.

There is nothing special about the NSX oil cap. Hand tighten it just like any other. I believe kgb_agent was giving advice for removing a stuck cap.

Not So Tight

Tighten until seated, then with only one finger (not the finger some people would show me) tightened until you can no longer twist the cap.

That was it...my cap was on pretty tightly before as well. Hondas don't seem to come with the ratcheting type oil cap like some other cars.
