Hey guys,
My neighbor from up the street backed into my car when I was out of town. UGHH. I've attached a picture of the damage for reference. The emblem was clipped off, and there is a dent on the top section of only the upper, not the lower valance. The hood has also been scraped, but very very mildly. Both have been estimated to require repair and paint.
My question is, now that I have the insurance money, what should I do? Front bumper and hood are OEM.
Should I repair or replace the front bumper and hood? The estimate for repair and paint is essentially eating up the entire insurance supplement, so I am wondering if it would be more prudent to use this as an opportunity to replace/upgrade these two parts.
That being said, I have been entertaining the idea of replacing the hood with an NSX-R hood, but I'm not sure if this opens an entire new can of worms that my current insurance money won't cover. I am not trying to spend more money at this point, as I have waaay to many other financial obligations. i.e. While a 2nd gen front end conversion would be awesome, please don't suggest this.
I do want to keep the OEM front end, but I am having difficulty finding a genuine OEM replacement.
