EDIT: This unit has been sold. Thank you for your interest.
Alpine OEM NSX CD Changer for sale. I am selling this unit because I have upgraded. The unit is mechanically perfect, however, I personally feel that it skips a little much. I don’t know whether this is because of the bumpy Chicago roads, or because of something that happened when I recently sent the car in for servicing, as I noticed it started to skip a lot more after I got it back. When the car was being serviced, I asked that the CD Changer be mounted to the bracket, as prior to that it was taped to the carpet using Velcro (and worked fine). The problem may be as simple as the horizontal/vertical switch being in the wrong position, but it could be something more serious as well – I really don’t know. I had been wanted to upgrade to a new-model CD Changer for a while which is why I have not bothered figuring out the source of the problem.
Also in the interest of fair disclosure: since I received the unit used, I noted that the prior owner was using a Mercedes Benz 6-disc cartridge. This cartridge looks exactly like the OEM 6-disc cartridge, and I have had no problem with it whatsoever. Additionally, as the Subject line of the ad notes, I am only selling the unit, not the mounting bracket or cables -- although you will get the mounting clips that connect to the changer, as shown in the picture.
I understand that a working OEM unit generally exchanges hands anywhere from $110 - $125. I am looking for something at around half of this (~$60) given the uncertainties related to the skipping. I would be happy to negotiate, if you can credibly convince me I have mispriced the unit. Please add $10 for Ground Shipping as the OEM unit is quite heavy.
I have been quite busy as of late, and so do not have the time to frequent Prime often. Please directly email me or PM me: [email protected].
Regards.
