I’m not sure if you mean the indicator does not light up or if you mean you don’t see an indicator at all.  If it’s the latter, perhaps you were looking on the wrong side.  There is only one security light and it is on the driver side door, near the lock.  When the security system is activated, it blinks once every few seconds.  If it does not blink, your security system is disabled - possibly because it thinks the hood or something else is open.
