Yes. I have a Black Panther battery, which was the previous name of the Odyssey, and the Schumacher charger, and they work fine together. I have been using them together for five years (plus the same charger with the OEM battery for six years before that), no problems whatsoever.Whenever you drive your car once or twice a week, and you're going at least a few miles (so that the battery gets recharged by the alternator), then you won't need to plug the charger in. I generally plug it in if the car is going to sit for about 10 days or more. (I'm not sure how long it would be before I would have trouble starting it, but I know I'm okay for at least that long.)HTH
