OC Caravan to the Canyon Drive

Since AwesomeR1 has started the San Gabriel Valley Caravan, I may as well start an OC one.

Our usual meeting place is the Starbucks on the corner of Walnut and Culver in Irvine, at the north/west corner of Walnut and Culver Dr. just south of the 5 fwy.

Departure time: 6:15

Assuming that we have to be there by 8:30, we can get there by 8 and have 30 mins to get gas.

PM me if you need my cell phone number. In the past, it worked out really well picking up additional drivers along the way without stopping.

The route has not been set yet, but from Irvine, we are probably going to take 5N, 22W, 405N. If you are along the way, and would like to ride with us, please let me know. Stragglers are welcomed!

For the SD folks, yet another early morning drive. :frown:

I think it means no later than 8:00 AM. Everyone should arrive in the general vicinity around 7:30 AM in order to get fueled up and in the staging area by 8:00 AM.

If you are at 22 and 5, you are just around 5 miles north of the meeting point. Either way, we should be rolling by there around 6:25. Keep your radio on. I can call you when we start to leave Irvine.

Yo. I'll be leaving from Fullerton this time so I won't be in Irivine but I'll meet you guys at the 5/91Fwy at 6:30+ in the slow lane with Radio and cell on. Cdub I still have your cell if it hasn't changed from last year. Mine is the same as well.

I was thinking of avoiding the pot holes and messy LA downtown area traffic by going 405 N. The closest possible meeting point would be for you to take 91W, 710N, 105W to meet up with us on 405 and 105.

Got you #, mine is the same although it has been switched from Cingular to T-mobile.

Let me know what you'd like to do.

So far we have 10 cars meeting at the Irvine Starbucks and 3 possibly 4 stragglers. If we are lucky, we may even be able to run into the San Gabriel caravan too.

Jamboree is only 2 exits from 55 and 5. If you choose to meet up on the fwy, make sure that you take 22 if we can't catch up to you on 5. Our club radios will be on.
