OC caravan for the AutoX

OK, you guys know the drill. It is the same Starbucks, our usual meeting place, at the corner of Walnut and Culver Dr. just south of the 5 fwy.

We should be able to get there by 8, which gives us 30 mins to get setup.

Please let me know so that I can have a head count. PM me if you need my cell phone number. In the past, it worked out really well picking up other cars along the freeway without stopping.

From Irvine, we are going to take 5N, 22W, 405N. If you are along the way, and would like to ride up with us, please let me know.

For the SD folks, that means another 5:30 drive again. You guys are good sports!

If I'm able to go to the AutoX, I'll more than likely go up the night before. Just way too early in the morning to be driving up Saturday.

I'd imagine that you'd be quicker to hop on 605N to 105W to get there. Either way, please let me know what your decision is.

Its not that far from the 605/91 junction to the 605/405. Join the group - "Just do it!!"

I don't have a club radio, but I'll be getting on the 605N from the South Street on ramp which is the last entrance before the 91 freeway.

Will you guys be passing by the 405/10 junction? If so, I would like to fall in at around that point.

We are actually heading north. If I remember correctly, you live near Marina Del Rey/Santa Monica area, which is north of Hollywood park.

You may want to see if there is another caravan from the San Fernando valley area heading south on 405.

Oh! I had no idea. I probably should've found out where exactly Hollywood Park is. I just kinda assumed it was up in Hollywood proper NE of Santa Monica. Guess I'll have to haul down all by my lonesome.

Why not just take 405 all the way up from Culver???

It is because our regular meeting place has always been right off 5 and not 405. It doesn't normally affect the driving distance if you are heading from El toro-Y.

Damn the AutoX is this weekend. I still need to get a helmet and a balaclava.

OK we are only 3 days away. So far, I have the following at the Irvine meeting place:

We'll be picking up CaAGNSX (SIlver) off Seal Beach blvd on 405 at around 7:30.

And Joel (Red) and Taj (Red) off South St. on 605 at around 7:40.

We should be there around 8am if we don't get lost finding the park entrance.

Please let me know if you are planning to join us or be at the meeting place on time. At 7:15 sharp, we'll be pulling out of the parking lot.
