o2 sensor

Is it dangerous for me to go to an open lapping session with a failed o2 sensor? I have a 1991 OBD1 so just the one sensor but not sure if I will have time to replace it prior to the event.

Replace it before you go to the track. You won't get optimum performance.

Yup, you'll get limp mode and a rev limiter at 7krpm (from experience). They usually have these in stock at most autoparts stores, but you might have to splice the wires (pretty much SOP). The biggest PITA will be getting the old one(s) out.

Ok I have asked my mechanic to order it in, hopefully it can get changed before my event! It's my first OTA event as opposed to just open lapping so I'm pretty excited to see how bad I am lol.
