After seeing the Mass. and Ct. guys get a jump on us for the caravan to the ALMS at Lime Rock, peer pressure compelled me to post our own thread.

***EDIT***

The main meeting location will be on Route 684 North in the rest stop after Exit 8 (the rest stop is actually on 684). We will then be traveling up Route 22 and heading in to Lime Rock through Sharon, Ct. We should plan on meeting at 7:15 with the group leaving at 7:30 sharp. It usually takes approximately 75 minutes to get to the track and we should anticipate encountering a short wait to get into the track.

PLEASE NOTE THE TIME CHANGE. Peter has circulated the following info: We have been notified by IMSA that Acura has authorized a breakfast of coffee, tea service, assorted muffins and danish to be available starting at 8:30am, on Saturday July7th. Please adjust your arrival time to take advantage of Acura's kindness.
Peter

IMSA requires that we be present to sign up for the parade laps at 10:00 so we have to make sure we have enough time built in to get into the track and over to our hospitality tent. Since not all attendees check Prime, I will send an email around to everyone likely to join this caravan.

I'm there, just make sure that the "senior member" doesn't "forget" to determine the departure time on time!!!

If I wake up in time I will meet youz guys, that is if I don't decide to take the taconic up,looking not to be the taconic one!

I am in for the caravan, as I very conveniently live 1 mile from the Taconic.

We all met at the Route 52 Fishkill/Carmel Park and Ride for the Running of the Bulls (the year of the infamous Taconic 8), maybe that will work for a "pre-caravan" meeting place.

See ya there!

Jay, I am assuming that you are going to take the Taconic up and then cut across so you should arrange a time for your meeting place for those taking that route rather than coming up Route 684 with our group. I edited my first post to indictate the time that we will be leaving.

We are seriously thinking of driving up to Danbury, CT on Friday night so we don't have to start out as early on Saturday morning.

Any groups planning to pass in that vincinity?

If you are staying in Danbury, you would be approximately 10 minutes or so from Route 22 North off of Route 84 West. We will be travelling up Route 22 and you could join us along the way. There are plenty of places to pull over onto Route 22 to wait for us.

OK - We have our hotel reservations in Danbury (Sheraton). So, what time do you expect to be on Rt 22 in that area?

If you PM me, I can give you my cell phone number & you can call me as you get close to the area for a positive indication that we are on time to catch the caravan.

Sounds good

Is leaving at 8 am giving us enough time? The back up at LM + local traffic eats up the time.
JH

I have made that trip on "regular" track days in just under an hour from that spot and in 75-90 minutes on race days such as ALMS and Memorial Day, their two biggest events. It is a little over 50 miles from the rest stop. As long as we leave at 7:30 sharp from the rest stop we should be okay (can you hear me knocking on wood as I type).

The rest stop is just before the 684/84 split so we should be passing the beginning of Route 22 at approximately 7:35. I PMed you with my cell.

Great. At River Run this past weekend I mentioned our "Danbury plan" for getting to Lime Rock, and another (ticketed) couple now plans to do the same thing. So, expect to pick up two NSX's from NJ on your caravan.

See the edited time for departure. In appreciation of all of our support, Acura has graciously agreed to provide coffe, tea service, assorted muffins and danish to be available starting at 8:30am. We would like to move the departure time from the rest area to 7:30am to give Acura a full complement of people since they are trying to take care of us.

Just a reminder!!! Make sure that you don't forget your club radios, and be sure that you have someone's cell # if you're lost or running late. We will be leaving the meeting point sharply at 7:30am. Be careful on 684 lots of tickets are given out on this road and once they're aware that we're out, they will definitely be on the lookout for those with a heavy right foot!!!

Good day fellow NSX owners in the NE. My brother and I would love to be a part of this caravan to Limerock. We are the proud owners of a 93, and we live in Millerton NY, a stone's thrown away from the track. Unfortunately we didnt sign up in time for this even but as new owners and our first spring with the car, we'd love to join this group to the track and hang out with everyone. I understand people paid money, and there is food and track time, which we understand we are completely uneligible for, but to just be a part of this group ride to Limerock would mean a lot. At the same time, IF there is anyone that had a change in schedule and unable to attend we would be more than happy to pay you for your entry.

Ok were desparate. We'd really love to do the drive, and be a part of this event. My brother has done a limerock event so track time is not something were looking for, nor food, just to meet and greet other NSX owners of the NE. Youre going to be so close to us...we dont want to miss it.

Let me know.

Regards
Mike and Will (dynduo)
