NSXs @ Irvine Cars & Coffee July 3, 2010 + more

It was an overcast day in "sunny" Southern California, but still great weather to enjoy another morning at C&C. I attended last year this time where July 4th fell on a Saturday. That was a good turnout. Today's turnout was another full-house. A number of NSX'ers showed-up, but not sure I got everyone. I was expecting a caravan of 6 or more to arrive, but most came one-by-one as I did. Also included are some pics of what caught my eye this day. Happy 4th everyone!

PS. Some shots are a little blurry as I was set-up for static pics and not ones where the car was moving.

I included this one of me sitting in the F458. That big grin on my face wouldn't go away until I climbed out of that beautiful machine. Only wish I had an opportunity to take it for a spin.

Just this one. With all the people gathering around, I was lucky to get these without the behinds of people aimed at my lens. This was a privately owned car as was the F430 parked behind for contrast.

They are AVS Model 5's... One of my favorite NSX's and wheel for the NSX.

what do you guys think about this lighting? Too fake/rice or ok? I kinda like it but i cant decide, my front end is identical (same hood and bumper) trying to decide if this look is good or not

Well at least they put the old HSC design to some good use. Rumorville said it was designed by the same designer that did the Ferrari 360. Since the HSC design has been scrapped and you compare it to the F458 maybe that rumor is more of a truth.

lol i was looking through these pics and thinking the same thing. I like them both act. I would prefer the black nsx. And keep the oem tun signals if you have the pop up front end. The ones that are on the market with putting led's in them are too much money. Plus you never know if you break one or something. Few years down the road they will not be made or something like that. Plus i dint like to ruin factory stuff. I rather replace it and hold on to the oem product.

Keep the lighting style. It flows well with the 02 bumper.

Great pics thanks for sharing steve, the car behind the 458 is a 430 actually not a 360 modena. There was a nice silver stradale there as well.

I think the LED's are fine with the 2002+ nsx's since they do not have a turn signal in the bumper like the earlier pop ups.

You're welcome! I stand corrected on the F430, Ed. I was too focused on the F458 as was most others.

Hey its all good Steve, by the way there is one guy in LA or OC that ordered a black 458. I can't wait to see that one....also I missed the 458 when I was there.....

Good nsx turnout though. There should be a later cars and coffee time like 9am-noon......people here leave too early.....its like after an hour every starts taking off.....

Yup I agree....I mean people have to wake up mon-fri early already...why would they want to wake up on a saturday early as well? The whole point of the weekend is to be off and sleep in and enjoy the rest.

I totally agree about how early most car meet are. Getting there at or before 7AM is tough. Many cars begin to leave before 8 AM. In fact, I went so far as to explore starting a casual and open car meet myself. Determining a good location is the hard part. A location that is private property as is C&C would be ideal. If I did identify a good site, I would schedule the time exactly as you would- from 9am-noon. Perfect!

Yes, they're Advan AVS Model 5. They've been discontinued for some time now and have been replaced by the Model T5.

I like both setup, they go with each of the front end well.

Keep the top one. I've always been a fan of the second ones but the first ones go well with 02+.
