Wow, I had no idea the Evo RS was that fast. How much power does that have? I thought the RS had the same HP as the regular Evo but i slighter and has some aero mods.

Man, do you guys even watch the video carefully? You're actually accusing Best Motoring for doctoring the result? There's no conspiracy. Look at the lap times listed at the end. The GT3 is fastest. It passed all the cars and was on it's way to passing the Evo at the end when it ran out of laps (only 5 laps!). That's all.

The 997 GT3 was the fastest. It could have reach the finish line before the Evo RS if the car wasn't placed last in the starting grid.

i think he (gt3) could have won that race easily if the driver drove the GT3 to it's limits as he was doing towards the end
notice the way he shifts the GT3,
compare the footage on
-3:50 vs -.24
notice how much faster he's changing gears

if that does not convince u then check out -5:20 he's just driving around the park

i thing that race was set up:rolleyes:

It's always been my opinion that the german cars get lazier drivers while the NSX-R gets a driver that's been spoon-fed amphetamines for the entire week leading up to the race.

Tsuchiya(driving the GT3) says in the beginning he will purposely drove the GT3 slow until close to the end to monitor the other cars.

haha cool
ok so that would explain why he was driving the way he was @ the start,

that's just plain sad :frown:

they should have driven an ENZO instead and it will be much more entertaining

Every car was a rolling roadblock for that GT3. The NSX was holding it up everywhere and had the race gone on longer, the EVO would have done the same. The GT3 gave all the other cars a looooonnnnggggg head start and then just took his time for 80% of the race.

To base how fast a car is, I think the best measure is Nordschleife lap times. That takes into account, not only the power to weight, the grip, the braking, but also how easy it is to drive at the limit.

Here's the Porsche 997 GT3 vs the NSX-R:
The NSX-R is fast, in the same league as the brand new Ferrari F430 F1, but the 997 GT3 is up there with the McLaren and Bugatti... Different league IMO.

7:34 Koenigsegg CCR
7:38 Mercedes SLR 722 GT
7:39 Porsche 997 GT3
7:40 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren
7:40 Bugatti Veyron (1001 hp)

7:55 Ferrari F430 F1
7:56 Honda NSX-R
7:56 Porsche 996 Turbo
7:56 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale
7:59 Porsche 997 Carrera S

If you guys are big fan of Best Motoring, you should know they always put the fastest lap time car at the last position. If they put the GT3 at the pole position when they did this 5 laps race, I bet you anything that the GT3 will take the lead all the way till the end.

BM videos are not like a p!ss contest.... you've got to know how to watch them... and comments like "slow drivers go to non jdm cars" lead me to think there is some guys watching videos with theirs eyes closed... please.. not everything is WWF like

BTW I ran an EVO RS on the highway. 60-140 4 times in a row. he lost by a car length every time. MY nsx nsx completely stock at the time.

I love best motoring, the battle is not always the best indication of which car is the fastest but the end they will show the lap time. All of them are professional drivers, but equally skilled.

Its fun to watch, drivers comments are hilarious. Great entertainment value.

I don't think the Best Motoring battles are staged in any way.

However, I DO think that one should assume that just because one car wins a certain BM race it is automatically the better or best car in that race.

Now, if you would repeat the same race five or six times with switching the drivers every time, then you could make a good assesment which car is better or not.

In a race, every driver has to take into account the situation around him which might make it impossible to use the cars potential to the fullest. A slower car blocking the road, a car next to you forcing you to follow a different line, a driver not used to the car he is driving, all these things matter.

The Porsche GT3 is an awesome car with a lot of potential. As such, it is a much faster car than the NSX-R, mainly (I think) because of its power (and powerband) and its suspension. You would have to put in some major modifications to your NSX (CTSC or 3.6 and a good suspension) to match it.

LOL You gotta love nsxprime the NSX's own personal diss club! LOL If the NSX does well in any way then something is wrong with either the other cars or their driver bwahahahaha! As for the guys who diss or distrust BMI do you ever look at the lap times posted at the end??? Car first across the finish line is not always the fastest car. They do lap times and then places the cars on pole to make the race competitive which it was.

The 911 GT3 was gonna take this better suspension ,engine and such ,but the NSX-R didn't embarrass itself buy any means. It did beat the EVO and other cars and most people think NSXs can't beat EVO's

I have to say the GT3s pass of the NSX-R in the corners was awesome! Pure driver fight. Last time the NSX-R was up against the GT3 it wasn't even close ,but on the tighter track at least it was a little more competitive.
