*CANCELLED*

Due to lack of interest, this event is cancelled for now. We'll try again after the holidays.

<strike>In light of Calvin's boredom and the San Diego fires preventing any hopes of a Sunday drive, what better time to host the first ever NSXPrime GT3 Tournament!! It's the best way to get your adrenaline pumping indoors -- well, next to Dromo 1 of course!

For those who don't know, it is possible to connect 6 PS2 consoles together and race each other arcade-style. Trust me, it is FUN! Race formula 1 cars and tricked out cars you modified on your own, straight from your PS2 garage!

I'm willing to organize this event but I need help.

We need the following:

1. 6 PS2 game consoles.
2. 6 GT3 game discs
3. 6 Television monitors
4. YOU (CalCoastal, NOC and SD NSXers!)

Mike (supergreen) has volunteered a place big enough to hold this event. So no problem there.

We need a date. I'm thinking [edited]Nov 9, 2003 -- next sunday. If you have any concerns about this, speak up now.

Let's do it! :D

ARE YOU IN?! </strike>

Damn, I can't come down for this.

BTW, in i-Link races you cannot choose cars from your own garage...only cars from arcade mode. Only split-screen races allow the sim mode and customized cars to be used. Otherwise, I'd be using the formula cars!

You need a 6-way i-Link hub...one of my ex-coworkers had one that we used at the office from time-to-time, but he took it with him (damnit!).

GT4 can't come out soon enough....

Well, the date isn't set in stone. I only suggested next saturday. We'll do this democratically. The day that accomodates the most people will be the date it's going to happen. Let's take a vote.

1. Friday Nov. 7th
2. Saturday Nov. 8th
3. Sunday Nov. 9th

4. Friday Nov. 14th
5. Saturday Nov. 15th
6. Sunday Nov. 16th

Vote and I'll take a tally.

HAHAHAHA....thanks guys.....I love you guys***tears!!! I dont' play video game nor I know how to do it...in another word, i like to admit that i SUCK!!!!! either case, allow me to take my turn and get my ass whip. As a substitute for not being able to play, i will be there at Mike's and do some Korean or Cajun Calvin BBQ....or something yummy... I am sure Mike would have some beer in his cooler waiting :D to wash it down. if not, volunteer yourself.......

Actually, Mike said he would have access to a big room at his work, not at home.

Either case, I'm up for Calvin BBQ.

So far, we got 2 consoles and 2 TV's. Sunny, If Steve can bring an 18" and 20" television, I don't think you need to find one anymore.

Would like to see people from S.D. and Calcoastal groups. Come on, it's going to be in South O.C. so it'll be equal travel times!! John? Eric? Randy? :D

Ok, count me in for one of the spare TVs then.

I have a console and GT3. Its the only reason I bought it and I don't have any other games for it, LOL!

If no one has one of those hub thingys, I can try to find one but please let me know. I'm doing a Best Buy run tomorrow to equip my iPod and get it car portable :)

I have to check with the wife regarding our "social calendar" for November, but I do know Nov 8 and Nov. 15 (both Saturdays) are knocked out. If anything, I'm aware that November weekends look to be very busy.

Are you guys still setting a date?

-Randy

Can I play too?

I was wondering when someone would mention a tournament!

I can bring a console and game (do I need a special cable for i-link?) and if anyone wants, Logitech steering wheel & pedals; I don't know about a big enough TV yet, but I'll check.

Where are you guys meeting? If all goes well this week, I may be driving my first NSX by the weekend...

Paul

Okay, I confirmed with Mike and the location is set.

our office is at 1300 quail st. suite 101 newport beach.

take the 405 north or south to the 73 south.
exit on campus/irvine ave. the ramp becomes south bristol.
turn left on birch, then right on quail.
it's about 1/2 mile down on the left side.

Blah, I can't make it. We have to install the office on Sat and have to prepare for an open house on Sunday in our El Cajon office. At some point I have to get to the valley and pick up a check ($$) from a loan I gave someone, so this weekend and the following weekend are not going to work for me after all. Sigh!

Sunny

hook it the night before and remote access your installation. problem solved...and bring your lap top :D

I wish I could, otherwise, Sat would be a go. For Sunday, its my first time hob nobbing with the company managers, I'm expected to be there for at least a little bit. :( I can't wait until my first "meeting." Count me in for the next one tho!

BTW, there's going to be some kind of F-chat drive on the 16th, So Cal, don't know where yet, but I thought I would throw it out to you peeps if your interested. :D
