We, as a group of NSX'rs beyond the GTA, should put together something more committed for 2007.

Im thinking that we do something that:

1) People in Ontario and western PQ can attend without being too crazed for travel;
2) Includes a couple social events, some driving events, a track day or two; and
3) is WICKED FUN!

Off the top of my head, I bet Calabogie will be a riot and it is looking like it will be ready for 2007.

There are so many GTAers/Londonites that can meet up around Muskoka and instead of driving down the boring 400/401/416 to Ottawa and then up the 417 to Calabogie, we can meet up North and meander our way to Calabogie via the backroads way way North. Perhaps even spending a night at a hotel. We can meet up at Calabogie for a track day or maybe two, then make our way to Ottawa for a night.

The Ottawa guys can meet us in Calabogie, as can the MTL guys. Everyone then proceeds to Ottawa for a day/night. Everyone departs the next day.

This way the GTA/London guys, and anyone who wants to join, have fun while we travel to Calabogie, which is close to the Ottawa guys, is a brand new track that looks awesome, and is within reach of the Montreal guys too.

Id love to lap Calabogie asap.

If they build it, I will come.

Bogie or Mosport is fine with me Mosport is in the middle of Kitchener/London/Windsor & Ottawa, but I see the Montreal guys coming out to Calibogie. There just needs to be things to do for the passenger when we're at the track or at night.

I think once this is decided we need to schedule it and send it to everyone, including the Acura dealers from Windsor to Montreal. Lets get everyone who owns one of these out for that one!

Dont forget about NSXCA North East too.

I LOVE this idea!!!!

Lets do a NSXpo Eastern Canada every year that the NSXpo is in the Southern or Western USA where it is unlikely we're going to drive to!

We could rotate between Mosport, Calabogie (which is now open according to CASC) and Tremblant! I'd vote for the end of May, so we're all looking forward to a fresh ride and the weather is generally clear and not cooking and the tracks/hotels are hungry!

Calabogie will apparently be officially open in October. They're still paving it as far as I know.

I definately, absolutely, most positively, in for putting together an effort for next spring.

Calabogie looks awesome

Hi John,
We have a mailing list and an unofficial club up here in Ontario. We email people directly who may be interested in events. If you'd like to be included or know of others have them PM me and I'll add you to our email list.

We shouldn't let this thread die. I know it seems very early, but we should narrow down 2 things now:

1. Preferred location - 1. Mosport 2. Caliboggie 3. Tremblant
2. Preferred time of year in 07

Once we have an idea of what people want, we can keep our eyes open for a track event to piggy back on. Most events get announced gradually as the tracks racing schedules firm up. So what's everyone think?

I vote for Mosport in the spring, but we rent the DDT since most drivers don't have track experience - we can coincide with a Hanson School so dead beginners can get a chance to try and perhaps make the whole thing happen a t the same time as the GP track is being rented for an event like a harvey day where we can have the more experienced drivers go. This way there's something for everyone and it'll be fun!

Mosport works for me to. Truthfully, I'd go anywhere to drive. I'd really like to see max participation. Once we agree on a place we just put it out there and they will come!

I like Stu's idea of the DDT for this group.

It is a great way to start the season, no matter how experienced you are.

If you're a novice, you will have tons of fun, and feel very comfortable, on the DDT.

I vote for DDT, followed by Calabogie (doesnt look to harry, but looks fun!), followed by the Big Track at Mosport.

The only downside I see with the DDT or the big track is that getting to Calabogie would be kinda fun, too.
