I put together a six minute video using footage shot at NSXPO with my Canon digital camera. To view the video, please follow these steps:

1. Download the following 5 files to your computer, and make sure they are in the same directory.

* Part 1 (8MB)
* Part 2 (8MB)
* Part 3 (8MB)
* Part 4 (8MB)
* Part 5 (5.76MB)

2. Download and run the following script in the same directory as the other files.

* Merge script

3. Open the NSXPO2003.wmv file that is created. You will need Windows Media Player to watch the video.

Enjoy!

What happened?

PHOEN$X- The video began to play for about 20seconds of the first download and the remaining downloads gave me the error below? :confused:

To play .mp2v files, you must have a software or hardware DVD decoder installed on your computer.

If the file type you are trying to play is included in this table, then the file may have been encoded by using a codec that is not supported by Windows Media Player. If this is the case, Windows Media Player cannot play the file.

Error ID = 0x80040265, Remedy ID = 0x00000000

You have encountered the following error while using Windows Media Player:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error# 80030109

Sorry, no more help is available for this problem at this time.

Rey, sorry about that, please try downloading the files again. I had problems uploading to Cox using their web interface, so I had to re-upload everything again using the command line FTP instead. Stupid Cox! :mad:

i tried stitching the first two files... works very nice.

Is that DollaBill having a sleep? :cool:

BTW, my initial comments are : cool, not heavily compressed, and i like how there is no music (can hear the engine sounds...and squeeky brakes :D )

Personally, I suggest modifying the .bat so it does NOT delete the chunk files ... delete them manually after you've checked the entire clip.

PHOEN$X,

Thank you so much for sharing your time to make such a wonderful video!! It was awesome!!!

Great video - Especially for a digital camera (your A70?)!
Yes, I'm glad I brought my A70 along despite the flight hassles. Most of the clips were shot in VGA mode, but some of the more blurry scenes were filmed in a lower resolution (320x240) to save space (and get around the 30sec/clip limit that exists in VGA mode). Even with two 256MB cards, I quickly ran out of space. Good thing Conrad had a portable hard drive--and generously allowed me to store my data on it (thanks Conrad! :)). Also thanks to TucAZNSX for picking up more batteries for me, this thing eats them like candy! :eek:

Whoops, my bad. Fixed, sorry! (I think Otto had the Comptech, however my memory stinks.)

No, and I knew you were going to ask that! I must've deleted it by accident, sorry. I know Troy is really bummed (so am I). :(

I do, but I'm out of web hosting space! ;) Anyway, I put the best footage from all my clips in this video. I'm sure there are others who have great material that have yet to post (Akira3D, where are you? :D), that will blow mine away. I'm glad y'all enjoyed it though, makes it all the more worthwhile for me. :)

Akira3D, where are you?

Right here!

After all was said and done, I actually don't have much great video from NSXPO2003. I have a lot of in-car snippets from my drive up (but I caravanned up the uninteresting I5 with only a few NSXs), some in-car footage traveling between San Rafael and Sacramento and Napa (including during our police escort), have some dark footage from inside RPM Karting (my little video camera doesn't work as well in low-light situations as my larger one), I used my car as a dolly for a drive by of the cars parked at Comptech, shot a few cars driving around at Infineon Raceway on Vendor Day, in-car footage from the Parade Lap Session (which I've already posted), and only a small amount of useable footage of NSXs on the track (Valerie had a hard time using my little video camera).

Once I finish transferring my friend's wedding video, I'll probably assemble another clip from NSXPO...but I have a lot of other crap that I rescued from my hard drive crash that I'd like to finish. I don't want to worry losing anything that I had already started editing in another harddrive catastrophe.

Music video

For anyone who's interested, I am posting my video of the long NSX procession leaving the group photo shoot at NSXPO 2003. It's set to "Andain - Beautiful Things" (which I thought appropriate considering the subject matter). Right click the link below, and save to your hard drive.

NSXPO 2003 NSX Procession (3min, 8.9MB)

Kelvin that procession video is cool!
It shows great rolling shots of every NSX that was there that day (which was alot), thats good to have all in one video clip!
Great memories of Xpo!
