Greetings everyone,
I have the first truck to NSXPO, 1/2 full(3 out of 6). Read below for exact details.
This truck is scheduled to leave Thursday, Oct. 9th in the a.m. and returning on Sunday, Oct. 12th. As you can see, this does not cover all of the NSXPO activities(Myself and others cannot take all the time off of work).
Intercity Lines is the trucking company and I have arranged 1 truck at this time, which that holds 6 NSX's and will cost $500 total per car round trip($3000 total for the truck) This cost is very low and it was arranged to have the truck pick up ALL the cars at my house in Camarillo and drop them off at San Rafael. Return trip is reversed. The cost would have increased substantially if I did not have all the cars picked up and dropped off at one location. I will arrange storage of the cars at my house prior to them being picked up(very upscale and safe area) and dropped off with upmost care. I will also be responsible for monitoring loading and unloading of the cars as if they were my own(read: anal). This may sound as of an inconvience for some, but I feel that this may be a good alternative for those will families that want their car to be with them at NSXPO (myself included). I can arrange some rides back to your location, if needed.
I have also researched taking the
Amtrak at the cost of 98 per person, round trip. The train ride is approximately 9-10 hours, so we have plenty of time to socialize on the train(viewing car, eating cars and sleepers) and not worry about staying together in a caravan(remember, we won't be driving NSX's).
