Attempting to see if there is anyone else who wants to join the OC Caravan at their first stop.

Starting point: Los Posas Park and Ride in Camarillo.

Departure time: 7:30 a.m.

Route: Us Hwy 101 S - CA-23 N - CA-118 E - CA-57 S - I-10 E

Activities: Lunch, Gas, bathroom stop, meet up with the OC caravan
Departure time towards Phoenix: 12:00 noon

John, I asked the wife, and so for I got hell for wanting to go. As I mentioned, she is due to deliver on 10/19, but our last kid came 3 weeks early. I am still "massaging" the subject. I will let you know.

John, I'm going to try and join you and the OC group at the first stop in Cabazon. I'll probably leave my place around 9am...which should get me to Cabazon by 10:45am assuming traffic isn't too bad.

I'm considering two routes to meet up, 405N-10E-60E-10E (which takes me near downtown), 405S-105E-605N-60E-10E (a little longer, but potentially less traffic). I also just realized I could even try and meet up with the OC group at their beginning stop if I leave around the same time and take 405S-105E-710S-91E (again, traffic could easily put me behind their departure time). Not sure what to do just yet.

For me, the distance difference between going directly to Wheel Inn and heading first to the OC meeting spot is only 3.6 miles...so I'm pretty sure I can meet up with the OC boys by their 10am departure time.

I will be going on the caravan to cabazon as well. Will let you know what meeting point works for me.

the CA 5 & I-210 EAST interchange at 8:45 am.
