I don't know about you guys, but after several years of being rather far afield, we at the NSXCC decided to keep this year's EST Fest nice and close to home in the spectacular Niagara Wine region!

Amid our January thaw, the roads appear to be clearing, and that's making me really look forward to the 2018 driving season which is no more than 70 days from now! After a resoundingly successful 2017, we are happy to announce The Hilton Garden Inn just outside picturesque Niagara - on - the - Lake as our venue for Est-Fest 2018 for the weekend beginning Friday May 25th and concluding Sunday May 27th 2018. Please note that this is the weekend AFTER the May long weekend this year - perfect for our American friends who would like to make the trip north as it's their Memorial Day weekend!

With the recurring success of the track day Friday evening, we are happy to announce that we will be renting Toronto Motorsport Park for the evening of Friday, May 25, in a no-holds-barred, all out, slightly restrained fight for bragging rights. After sundown on Friday, we will return to the hotel for a night cap where we'll start the weekend off in style!

One important aspect of Est Fest is location and how it best accommodates the size of our group greatly enhances our experience. After various considerations along with members’ feedback, the club executive has worked diligently to secure accommodations which offer a fine balance of value and luxury at the Hilton Garden Inn in Niagara - on - the - lake. Located about one hour from Toronto, this location is much closer than previous venues. As an added plus, it's located right in the heart of wine country!

The Hilton Garden Inn is located just seconds off the QEW in Niagara and is within walking Distance to the Niagara Outlets and short driving distance to Niagara - on - the Lake and the Niagara Falls tourist area. We have blocked off 20 rooms where we can all park in our own area and not worry about bothering others during our stay. For those so inclined there is a world class spa located right across the road, and many wineries within easy taxi distance!

At this point, we plan on doing a winery tour followed by lunch during our Saturday outing. As one of the best wine growing and diving spots in Ontario, everybody should have a blast.

Accommodations:

• Book now! Our special rate of $199.00 per night is available until April 23, 2018.
• The above includes breakfast for two for each night you stay. (Additional breakfasts are available for a nominal fee)

We will continue to work to bring the best possible experience for the weekend.

Shoot......I'm on an African Safari and not home until the 28th........right in my back yard this year :(.........great area to hold it in and have fun.

Yes, we typically charge in the order of $80 per person for a facilitation fee. What this covers is:

Track day
Friday dinner
Saturday lunch
Saturday dinner
Snacks and drinks for the weekend
Swag bag

Thanks to some very generous sponsors, we're able to offer a very fair package which will allow you to pay a nominal fee on Friday, and not reach into your pocket again for the weekend.

Yes, we may know that but new members or old, lapsed members who forgot might not. That was my only point. Now that you bring up the track time, is there a lower fee if I cannot attend that? I'm coming from Ottawa and won't arrive until 9pm or so on the Friday. Another good data point (either yes or no) for the post!

That's a great point. I've added the following to the lead post!

Oh man this would have been nice to attend if I had not already booked my honeymoon for that time period! Is this event restricted to NSXCC members?

My wife has not been to Niagara Falls and we will plan to go in the near future...

Usual protocol, Bram?

All members of NSXCA and NSXCC are welcome to attend any of our events

Niagara Falls is a Honeymoon destination as well....

Bram
