Is anyone interested in having a meeting at the Proud Bird by LAX this month?
My plan to have the meeting at South Coast Acura won't work as they are under construction for the next 2 months.
The plan for the meet would go something like this:
This month I would like to have another meeting somewhere close to the midway point between the usual meeting in Huntington Beach and the Cal Coastal meeting in Calabasas. I hope some of our brothers and sisters from L.A. and the Valley can join us for this event.
For many years I have enjoyed having dinner at a very unique restaurant in El Segundo. The restaurant is called "The Proud Bird" and it is located directly across Aviation BL. from the end of the runway at LAX. This location (along with the all glass side of the building provides a great view of the airplanes landing at LAX. The property has also developed into a small aviation museum with static displays of many W.W.II and later aircraft. The inside of the building also has lots of pictures and stories on aviation history and aviation history in Los Angeles.
Oh yeah, the food is great too!!!
Here's the plan:
Meet at "The Proud Bird" restaurant in El Segundo at 7:00 PM. (1/2 hour later to allow for the folks coming from Orange, San Diego and Ventura Counties)
This month will be a strictly social event, so plan on coming and enjoying a good dinner with good friends (we can talk about all the upcoming events!!) Our reservations will be set for 7:00 PM.
I will need an accurate count of how many will be attending so I can arrange a proper size table. Drop me an email ASAP if you think you can make it, so I have an idea how many to expect so we can make dinner arrangements accordingly.

Directions: Get yourself on the 405 to LAX,
If traveling North on the 405 exit on Imperial Highway. Turn Left at the end of the off ramp. Take Imperial about 3/4 mile West to Aviation. Turn Right on Aviation. The Restaurant will be on your Right about 1/4 mile.
If you are coming from the North (traveling South on the 405) take the Imperial Highway exit. At the end of the off ramp, turn Right (North) on La Cienega. Make a Quick Left on 111th St. (First possible Left). Take 111th West about 1/4 mile till it ends at Aviation. Turn right and the restaurant is on your right.
