Nsx WestFest Official Thread 2009

Well, its Friday and Dan and Angie arrived last nite and I just now Friday afternoon with Brent From Calgary an hour behind me. No tickets so far and just got into the hotel.
They have a nice spot right in front reserved for us, about 6 spots.
The weather is hot and the skies clear. Light breeze off the Lake brings a bit of a chill though. Dan and Angie are out at a winery for a bit, but i was able to talk to them before they set out for a romantic day. I saw Terry at his Yamaha shop and we talked abit about ribs and chicken and ctsc's for Sunday nite.
Those of you not coming, we will miss you and those that where here last year, its just a beautiful....next time.....
KK, pictures and more coming, I just filled up with 94 octane added 60 points or 6 octane boost juice, so im good for 9.5 pounds with advanced timing....
They say 500 Rcmp hit the roads today, that was from the 20 that where having coffee at Tims in Golden....lol. I got hit with lazer before Revy and a few Ka and one K....yikes.
Time to wax the car and wait for the next arrivals.

Dan went up to some winery's yesterday, while I washed my car.
Brent came over and we all had some eats and drinks on the lake front.
Brent left for a BBQ and Albert and Betty Pulled up.
Sean and his troop of Merry Men had arrived as well and we called them out and had a show down in the parking lot. Some kid with online tuning experience slammed my ctsc with his mini with the TSX engine in it....lol
Todd was on his way over and we forgot and Dean Me and his troop headed off to Roses for a drink. Dan and Angie Retired, while Albert and Betty headed out for grub and a car wash. I see we have another Red BC nsx in the parking lot, maybe our hillclimber, im not sure.
A few P cars came in as well last nite.

Saturday Morning a little overcast, calm and gorgeous!
Off to save tables for Breakfast at the Bohemian Cafe

back to hotel for gathering and picking up wifes and what not.
then over to the knox mountain hill climb area, hopefully we can get on the grass again with our cars.
Then I see there is a show and shine in Ruttland (sp) turn east on hwy33 and go all the way to the school and you'll see it im told, will ask around and text everyone.
Maybe some fast driving across the lake in the hills later.
visit a winery, or land up in jail.

Another great NSXFestWest! Special thanks to Trev for getting it together this year, and Terry & Laura for hosting an excellent BBQ. No tickets for me this weekend, was everyone else as lucky?

No Tickets here, nor did I hear of any from the Rest of the Troop!
I noticed in Alberta that it appeared they were just making a presence on the way home for everyone, like, here we are, don't mess up.
Brent and I have a special Love/Hate relationship, We love his car, but hate when things go wrong with it. Like the Nav wire that took him to some Orchard instead of Terry's. Oh, no that was Sean!

p.s. I was at least a foot away from him, but his girlfriend knows the right angles to make that look good. We'll not good for us, cause we have to live with that photo now.

So what was the final tally for turnout? My car is still on the rack and not likely to come down all year....:frown: Life and numerous projects have my number this year. Didn't even sign-up for all the track events I have done for the past number of years.

It was nice to meet everyone. Terry, Big thanks to you and your wife for the tremendous hospitality.

For being the odd man out with the infiniti, you sure made me feel right at home. I have quite the decision now to either part with my G35 and pick up a nice NA2 or keep the G and pick up a NA1 and start yet another project. hah.

Im still editing out licnese plates, but once thats done, ill throw up the pics i took.

Trev - get that FIC & 440's in bud, i got a snarling mini waiting for ya...:wink:

Once again that was an excellent nsx-westfest. Laura and I had a great time entertaining all the guests. Well, actually, Trev was doing the entertaining, we were just the hosts. I really enjoyed the drive in Trev's car. Except that now I want a little more power? This same thing happened last year, and I had to buy an exhaust, short suspension, new brakes, tires, etc. The incidental expenses are killing me....now how much are those superchargers?
I will send some more pictures to trev to post in the next few days.
We hope you all have a great summer, with no speeding tickets.lol.

Lots of great memories from NSX West Fest 09 ...

Thanks Trev for organising the event (as usual) I'll split your cell phone bill as I'm sure it will be huge!
Spectacular drive to and from Kelowna (even with the snow)!
Weather in Kelowna was very nice, much warmer than Edmonton.
Saw lots of great cars at Peachland, great time!
Went on many fun drives around Kelowna, nice to drive on roads with little or no pot holes!
Great to meet everyone again and for the first time.
Highlight was the BBQ at Terry and Laura's place on Sunday evening. Thanks guys for opening up your beautuful house to us.
