There is a new magazine out called SPEED. It seems to be pretty good so far.

Anyway, they tested a REAL NSX vs a Vitrutal HSC in Grand Turismo 4.

Here are the stats that the HSC has in that game. No word on how close it is to the real HSC and I have no idea how accurate this game is with concepts.

HSC:
3.5L V6
400HP @ 7000 RPM
300 lb-ft TQ @ 5500 RPM
8500 RPM redline
2850lbs
6-speed
final Drive 3.91:1
0-60: 3.8
0-100: 8.6
1/4: 12.1 @ 118.1
breaking 60-0: 107ft 80-0: 190ft.

Around the Tsukuba circuit the real NSX turned in a time of 1:05.07 and the HSC turned in a time of 102.84 (in GT4).

The article was a fun read. I would recommned picking up the magazine for the full read.

They had pretty crappy times for a 2003 NSX though. 0-60: 5.0 1/4 13.4 @ 105.9. I am not sure if they actually did accelartion tests or not. Their 0-100 was 12.0 flat. That is the worst time I have ever seen for anything older than a 96 NSX. Not too impressive at all. That was by Sam Mitani, who I think used to own a NSX?? If so, He sure sucks at driving it hard...

All I can say if if the HSC has this kind of performance in real life, I would be happy to own one..

If these were indeed the true HSC stats, I'm a buyer. Done deal!

Great find Dave!!

Every day I check to see if there are any new threads under the 2nd Gen forums, in hope that someone has found new info on the HSC's #'s. I sure hope these numbers are accurate. This thread made my day, and i also recieved my NSX crystal paper weight today; making my day even better!! :)

Giving this a bump for people who might have missed it over the weekend...

Zuerst: How can you play GT 4 when it's not available yet?? Special sources? My latest information says that a reduced Prologue edition will be released in Europe in may and the full version in U.S. in fall 2004 - no prologue version planned there.

Another HSC screenshot from GT4:

Very impressive acceleration numbers. Now if they fix the taillights (too many circles), and finalize pricing, the orders will come flying in....a launch date would be nice too.

I think these numbers are a little high but I REALLY hope I'm wrong. If these numbers are spot on, then Honda will be in good shape!

just curious if people at gt4 knows something we don't? Are there other concept cars in there also?

I wondered that myself. Maybe they have a NDA they cannot talk about, however, they could put it in the game...

Could be a good sign.

Those performance numbers are sweet. Just think what a CTSC HSC will do!

I went on a tour of the company and stole a copy of GT4 when they're not watching... :p:D

I was just joking about the whole thing.

That could possibly the case.

Proof #1 -

Toyota Motor Triathlon Race Car. It's in GT4 Prologue (JDM) I got from a friend as a B-day present late last year, and yet no official introduction was made until its unveiling at Geneva Auto Show this year.

I hope such is the case with HSC. Actually I'm kinda greedy, 400 Caballos won't cut it for me. I WANT at least 50HP more!! :D
