I would not pay that for this car! Too many more good ones out there IMO

IMO, if you're looking at nsx in the low 20's, you will be in for future headaches. if you can just swing the payments, you wont be prepared to spend couple of thousand on repair and maintanence.

You might want to check with your bank and insurance company, some don't touch salvage cars.

Generic CarFax's?

I just noticed that the CarFax for this car and for X-TNSIV's car are very similar:

This car -

This coupe has had 3 owners and was owned in Florida and Oregon. The first title for this coupe was reported to CARFAX by a Florida DMV in 1990.
It was driven an average of 2,613 miles per year, which is lower than...

Allen's car -

This coupe has had 3 owners and was owned in Florida and Oregon. The first title for this coupe was reported to CARFAX by a Florida DMV in 1991.
It was driven an average of 2,657 miles per year, which is lower than...

Of course, an important distinction is Allen's NSX isn't a salvage title car...

Just a lot of interesting similarities.

HOw much do you think?

I was iffy about this and i was going to nego the price

because i felt it was tooo high for this car.

engine has low miles though

Here's what you should do considering that you are still interested in that other rat's nest.

Buy both! This way you can rebuild the targa with the parts from this car and you'll have everything you need.

You are wasting everyone's time here. You obviously cannot afford to buy an NSX and you have no ide how much it costs to own and maintain one, nevertheless to rebuild one.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but you sound like every other teenager who wants something that you clearly cannot obtain at this stage in life. How do I know? I was there also and looking back I probably sounded the same way. The only difference is that the internet wasn't around 20 years ago. The only advice that I could get was from my friends (dummies also), and my parents. Then again, we couldn't get all the laughs like we do now with the internet. Your threads being the source of some of them.

Once again, good luck.

I'm not taking it the wrong way

I Am going to get an NSX paint it yellow and chainsaw the roof period.

I'm Joking

I have been looking for a car from quite sometime now and my heart was dead set with the Supra Turbo i'm from (Supraforums)

but after seeing the nsx i feel in love and now i really want one.

Do you have 25k saved/loaned for one? Just curious, because looking for salvage/wrecked one just because that's all you can afford is not the way to go about it.

Superus said:

Very much so! I wouldnt look at it until it was at least 5k below what hes asking... and that even depends on what the mechanic says.

It seems your hellbent on an NSX, well im not here to tell you if you should or shouldnt get one but just make sure you can AFFORD it...if you can, GREAT! if not, please dont put yourself in financial ruin just because of a car.

Maybe this is exactly what you are looking for. Theft salvaged 92 NSX with 96 NSX-T coversion.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2470616974&category=5337

Just curious, but can the 92 frame take being modified to a targa, or does the frame have to be re-inforced?

[edit] Sorry, never mind. Found an article. It stated: "The chassis was reinforced with an aluminum (maybe steel?) sub-frame to keep the car from flexing. In my opionion, the car looked great but definately was not as rigid as a factory car."

So something else to think about if you are thinking of getting the conversion rather than a true NSX-T. Not as rigid, and will have extra weight from the added extra sub-frame. [end edit]
