I'm sure this has been asked before but I am unable to find the info.

I'm looking for a detailed listing of the differences between a stock NSX and a Type R or a Type S. Is this available anywhere on the net, I've checked the FAQ and couldn't find anything there. Have also looked at a few other sights. Many reference these cars but none give detailed info on the specific differences.

Thanks for any help.

Regards,
Brian

Hmmm... Did you try the section called "Model Information"?

http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/General/modelinfo/modelinfo.htm

Yes, actually I did. Did you happen to notice that the detail there was, how shall I say it, lacking in the specifics. Gee, weight is saved by removing the AC, Radio, etc, yep thats marginally helpful. Changing wheels to lightweight BBS ones also saves weight (what size and model, they do make more than one mesh style wheel?) Suspension is stiffened? How? What are the spring rates? Are different swaybars used? What about bushing material? And shocks? Get the idea of what I'm looking for? Thanks for the help though. Good to know my fellow NSX owners are such a helpful, though sarcastic, bunch.

I can send you copies of this year's Brochure for the JDM cars if you want.
Most of it is in Japanese, but most of the specs are just numbers and are easily deciphered..

Exactly what I was looking for Edo. Thanks a ton. I love my new NSX but the handling is just a little soft after switching over from a street/track Porsche. Can't wait to upgrade the car a bit, should be a terrific street/track toy.

Hi Brian,

Some of the suspension rate changes are in the Performance / Suspension section of the FAQ but it is not comprehensive. Just FYI there is really nothing in the R or S suspension you can't achieve for less money using aftermarket parts.

I would also ask that if someone has or gets ahold of more detailed specs, please send them to me and I'll post them so the next person looking for that info can find is easily.

I think I have some time this weekend so I'll post some of the specs (translated into english)
