I recently installed a aftermarket rear strut tower bar and I could not believe the difference in the handling of the car. It feels a lot stiffer.

Anybody else experience this?.. or was i tossed a placebo?

Does this mean that the stock strut tower bar was flexing?

No placebo. As I stated in an older link you will feel the difference mostly when you drive a bumpy road or over curbs on the race track. The amount of difference depends on the suspension modifications of the car. E.g.: With my relatively stiff setup (Bilstein shocks, Eibach Pro springs, Dali race sway bars) and reduced weight (1.260 kilogramms w/o driver but with half fuel) I didn't noticed much difference on the flat track. With a Ken-Sax-favorite-bone stock NSX (cp.) you may feel a difference there too.

At a T-model strut bars may add more stability (but it has already one in the rear).

My strut tower bars (front and rear) are custom made. My tech just works on the jpgs and a price for a little series - if someone is interested, please mailto:

Custom Strut tower bars

To all who mailed because of the custom made bars in my car: I have serious problems with the mail server of my provider. So I have to tell you here (hope I don't break any rules, Lud, but it's not a real commercial thing):

The price for a set (front and rear) including tax (but plus shipping) is EURO 475.--

3 pics are attached.

Huh? does that make sense to any one?

To keep it simple (no flames from techies, please): The more the chassis works and moves (left-right-, up-down-load transfer) the more stress comes to the parts. You feel that extremely when you drive the NSX with stock suspension and slick tires - huge sway. So here you may feel the biggest improvement by strut tower bars.
