Another reveal from media day at Honda R&D. The new Honda "0 Platform" EVs will let you select engine sounds and gauge clusters from iconic Hondas. Two options are the NSX Type-S and the NSX-R. What a cool option! I especially like the generic "DOHC VTEC" option. I wonder what they chose for that?

Edit: Looks like you have to pay extra if you want a CRX or the F1 car LOL.

They need to add the "Sportronic" shift levers and the simulated shifting from the Hyundai 5N. I've driven it and it adds a spectacular element to that car that is sorely lacking in a lot of EV's. Hitting the rev limiter and bogging in too high a gear are absolutely excellent!

I'll pay extra for the F1 car! I can't identify which one from the picture; hopefully that driver pack will include a bunch of different cars. RA271? MP4/4? The HondaJet (& NSX!) are in the base package while you have to pay extra for the CRX?!?!

What are the orange & green LED's at 7K? NSX-R's have a shift light?

The article noted that you may have to pay for the sounds and that it could be a new source of revenue for Honda. My guess is that those two "locked" sounds had not been finalized yet for the prototype. This was a platform demonstration for media to experience/drive the new EV architecture. The actual car bodies were from current models and "pasted" onto the 0 EV Platforms. The one in the picture is a 2024 Accord- you can see they duct taped the display screens to the cut-down Accord dash! Apparently the 0 Platform will also be steer-by-wire, including the NSX.

The red and green lights are for the NA2 NSX-R and are shift lights. Green flashes at like 7,500 and then it goes red at 8,000. They actually use the bulbs from the AT gauge cluster if you can believe it!
