NSX shifter position

Just curious what everyone's thoughts are on the position of the NSX manual shifter. IMO it's just situated way too forward. I tend to like a more forward seating position which doesn't help matters much, plus I just don't like to use the telescoping wheel just for that reason. It seems I'm shifting more with my elbows rather than my wrist which to me seems like a more natural feel. More like an F1 car...when they HAD shift knobs that is. It's the one and only issue with the car I've had in several years of ownership.

I think it's perfect... although the stock shifter knob is a little too high. I finally fixed that with a SoS Rapid Shift Knob. Now it's at a perfect height, and it shortened the throws and enhanced the general feeling of changing gears.
