Can I swap the driver seat leather with the passenger one? I don't want to let the leathershop keep my car for a week as I don't trust anybody (they could drive out my car at night).

No. The controls for the seat are on seperate sides. That at least would not allow the leather to be swapped.

Not exactly sure what you are doing, but if you are jsut doing seats, why not just remove them and give them to the shop. Just a few bolts and a wiring harness. Keep the car at home?

There are essentially 4 cover parts - the main seat frame cover (one piece for the rear section & back & base side bolsters), bottom & back seat cushions & the head-rest
The cushion & head-rest covers will be swappable but the seat body will not, due to the holes in the base side-panel for the switch panel

Thank you both. Looks like aftermarket full bucket seats would be in the list. Btw what is the waist size of the stock NSX seat?

Anybody had this done yet? My '91 could use new Ivory seats. Do you buy the leather at Acura and have someone do it? Or just go completely aftermarket? What's this cost usually?

(Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread!)

Check out my gallery, I recovered mine with covers from Northwest Auto leather,It wasn't that big a deal. Although the aftermarket anchoring points could have been made to match the OEM points instead oh having to screw into the seat pan.

Thanks Zen, very cool! I'll have to give them a shot.

There is a group buy right now from leatherseats.com in the vendor forum. That's who I used and was well pleased with the results.
Both these vendors seem to have gotten favorable reports.

Yes it can be done.. I've done it..
The seat covers are the same EXCEPT for the holes for the seat motor switch.. There will be holes against the center console. but it is not visible.

I bought a used passenger seat and remove the leather and replaced on to my worn driver seat.

check my post.
