NSX registered as a commercial Vehicle?

looking at an NSX, Car Fax states that car was originally registered as a commercial vehicle.

Could this mean it was a rental? I used to belong to a car club and all the rental vehicles were registered as commercial vehicles.

Any thoughts?

no LOL my 92 was reg as a commercial vehicle a couple times in it carfax.

some write it off their taxes if they use for commercial use only kinda thing
or their work leased it for them so then its commercial

the rich know all the loop holes when it comes to taxes etc.

never have I heard of an NSX being for rent EVER.

Definitely sounds like a tax loop hole.

It was probably leased in a company name.

Sometime when Honda leases a car it is titled to American Honda Finance and will show up as a Corporate vehicle also.

I wouldn't worry about it, if you saw what I saw when working on this project it wouldn't be anything out of the ordinary .
