NSX radio problem

Hi,

I have a 1992 Acura NSX with a Bose (Alpine) radio. Reference number: CM3939 and Part Number: 39100-SL0-A000-M1. I replaced several capacitors to bring it back to life and it is working again. All PCB's inside the unit are in excellent condition as well as all the connectors. Everything works fine except that when I turn the radio on it generates a lot of distortion and the volume level is very low but during the first 30 minutes of running the sound slowly gets better and better until becoming normal....the level is very good and the distortion almost completely disappears. If I turn the radio off again for a long period of time the same thing happens again. Both amplifiers in the doors generate the same distortion so I don't think the amplifiers are the cause since they were replaced 8 years ago. Have you ever encountered this problem? If you have the solution I would like to know. Thanks for helping me and i know this problem is special but some help would be appreciated. Having the electronic schematics would help me greatly but it seems impossible to find them.

Thank’s,

Ray

Hi Ray, I am from Montreal my self...

I have a 94 and this week end I noticed that the sound of my Bose radio system was really bad. It's sounds like a small fm portable radio. Also, last week, there was a kind of burn smell in the car. Like some electronic burning smell.

where did have your car radio fix in Montreal ?

Disconnect your radio, you don't need a fire.

You might need your amps and radio rebuilt.

....

@Gravity60 who are you? You are not vetted and it is strange to make this request of a new member. If you are a vendor, you need to be registered as such.

Hi Drew,

My request is that Geonsx can write to me on my email because he is from Montreal just like me and I wanted to discuss with him about his problem with his NSX radio because I also had a problem with my NSX radio that I fixed in the meantime. I am not a vendor.....but rather retired for 5 years.

Hi Drew !
Thank you for your reply, and your invitation to write to you true e-mail.

Where can I find your e-mail here in this forum ?

Contact Heineken, above, on this thread.

I'm just here as I got alarmed over an unverified person trying to contact you. That person sounds legit, but we try to police the forums of shady behavior by others.
