I have never noticed this until today... but have you ever seen the NSX-R without it's black hood??? This NSX-R has a WHITE HOOD with a black fin...

Actually I believe only the prototype came out with the black c/f hood. I read somewhere that for production they painted it white for a less "racer-boy" look. I have an NSX-R guide/book and most of the pictures are taken with a painted hood.

The pictures shown is a NA2 NSX-R production model. The painted hood and spoiler was done to hide the underlying carbon fiber. Apparently, it was not possible to achieve a consistent weave pattern in production.

Cheers,

I stand corrected - now I look closer I can see the scoop in the hood, which wasn't immediately apparent to me; also the door mirrors are black

it's definitely an NSX-R...i checked before posting so i didn't look like an idiot. (no smart comments!

Just an easy way to designate between the two R's based on their engine, C30A and C32B. Do you like alphabet soup as much as I do?
