I recently installed the NSX-R hub and steering wheel on my car. But after the installation I noticed that due to the small diameter of the NSX-R hub, a half circle shaped cutout is now exposed on the lower steering column cover.
Does anyone know if the lower steering column cover on a real NSX-R has this same cutout or not? I cannot imagine that Honda would leave it like this. If there's an NSX-R specific part that lacks this cutout, will it fit our LHD NSXs?

I just found this old thread that appears to answer my question....

Bummer that the color and texture of this NSX-R piece is significantly different. It looks like it has lighter colored paint speckles in the finish....
