Saturday I rolled down my window to take some interior photos of my new color matched door accents  and when I rolled it back up it stopped at the halfway mark.:frown:

I tried manipulate it by pulling up the window while pushing the switch but no-go.

I read the threads about the Window Fix-it Thingy and immediately ordered from Dali.

While I wait for the parts to arrive, I take off the door panel to inspect it.
I find that the part appears to be in perfect shape. I grease up everything in sight with White Lithium Grease and still no-go.

FYI- the window rolls up (half-way) and down completely in a fairly smooth manner.

Has anyone else had this happen?
What else should I try to do?

Honestly, I am getting a little anxious. I'd rather my window be stuck in the up position. At least that way I could park it outside/mall/movies/etc without worrying about it being tampered with or getting wet/debris inside.

Any help woudl be greatly appreciated.

Temporary Solution - this may work well enough to get the window all the way up:

It sounds like the window is out of adjustment and not sitting "squarely" in the door. Try pulling the front curved corner of the window towards the rear of the car. Place your hand on the upper front rounded corner of the window, a little bit below the curvature, and pull the front corner up and back. This motion may pop it back into position (temporarily) enough to get it to roll the rest of the way up. Then roll the window up while assisting the regulator by pushing the top of the window upwards with your thumb.

This has worked for me in the past. The way the window was binding wasn't obvious, and it took a long time to realize that the window wasn't sitting squarely and that I needed to pull back on it to get it into a better position.

A better solution and more permanent solution would be to try adjusting the windows so that they sit "square" in the door. It sounds like you have lubed the heck out of them already.

The ultimate best solution would be to have both window regulators replaced by a competent shop. Emphasis on competent.

I found the problem:biggrin: . Question where do I find the parts and how do I install them?:frown:

I searched the DIY threads and I don't recall seeing anyone with this particular problem. Unless they were repaired by an Acura dealer instead of DIY.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

those are rubber rail guides.

hard plastic/rubber + lube = smooth action.

try your acura dealership.

happy motoring.

First thing is you do not need the Dali Thingies, you already have updated regulators. It is not clear from the picexactly what you are refering to.

Which pieces are you after. It sort of looks like something may be broken but I cannot tell.

Greetings Larry,
Here is the part. Please tell me that I do not have but the entire window regulator assembly.

dont feel bad my door latch broke yesterday and now my door wont open from the inside or outside but now I guess its time to adress the slow windows while I have the door panel off ( wont be easy to pull with the door shut ) I am going to post some timeslips of the window before and after mods . And yes I will post a pic of where to drill into latch to release the door, it looks similar to the old accord latches that used to fail in the early
90's

You certainly brought this thread back from the dead :P

C-speed,

A bit. Last year I was in Silverdale and never needed to lower my windows, now I'm in Texas and just pulled my door panels to replace the window thingy:biggrin:

From some other posts, it would appear I can live without the plastic spacers, just extra lube on the track and slider.
