Hello, i've seen in FAQ here that JDM NA1 has shorter gearing compared to USD models even 6 speed. so can JDM 5 speed hang with USDM 6 speed on straight line? Also if you know, how does NA2 performs agains BMW's euro spec M series like E36 6 speed M3 (321hp) or E46 M3 or E39 M5 (400hp) thanks and sorry my topic ise a bit kiddish but couldnot find exact info, they are different everywhere.

about 2/3 down the page there are some figures for the us 5speed vs the japanese, and nsxr, etc.

i don't know of any such table that compares to the 6speed. but the word is that the 6 speed benefits from having short 5speed-like acceleration in the lower gears, but does not suffer in the higher end.

6sp nsx
0-60 = 4.9s
0-100=11.7s
13.4s qm (some have argued a little lower)

'06 M5
0-60 = 4.1s
0-100 = 9.5s
12.4qm

06 M5 is hands down faster I mean earlyer model E39 chasis with 400hp V8, has anybody ever raced one on the drag strip or somewhere?

The E39 M5 and E46 M3 are almost equal in 1/4 mile acceleration. The only difference comes at speeds over 100mph (i.e. the autobahn) where the M5 begins to walk away as the engine power (400 vs 333) becomes more of a factor than weight.

Under 100mph, both are very similar in times to an '02+ NSX and it would most likely depend on the driver. They all trap in the 104-108mph range (you're talking 1-2 car lengths either way). Above 100mph, I would expect the NSX to pull with the M5 due to aerodynamics.

a 1991 NSX will beat a M5 and M6 flat out! NO PROBLEM.

Get a long straight (very long) let them race!
M6 and M5 will get to 60 faster but once they get to 250KM there limiter kicks in! the NSX will race by them and reach it's top (un limited) of 281KM (yes that's what they say you can get with a extreme straight! (17-20KM) so that would be a race of 20KM straight a head!

LOL thats funny :) what about top speed? in gearing it says USDM 6 speed redlines 6th at 202 mph thats a lot, much more than offical figures. can NSX realy reach that speed? is the power enough? can it realy readline 6th gear at 202mph?

No it can't. Drag limited as it has the gearing but not the horsepower to get to 200. There are numerous modified NSXs with enough hp to theoretically make it but I have never seen someone who has done it or claimed to either.

A JDM 5-speed will probably be just as quick to 60MPH as the 6-speed because of the NA2's 20 more HP. The 1/4 mile belongs to the NA2.

An NA2 should be very equal to both the E39 M5 and E46 M3 in 0-60 and 1/4 mile acceleration.

A CTSC NSX should hold it's own against an E60 M5 or E64 M6.

As for the NSX's theoretical top speed, see here.
