NSX Pace Car for CART at Laguna Seca

Blue NSX with some sort of black wheels is the pace car...looks sweet. Anyone have any info/pic on this car??(It's on ESPN right now)

I saw the car at Road America this year the rims are Simmons as I recall the rear tires where huge like a 295-35-18 I think the fronts where 235-40-17s.

yea, I was at long beach this year and there was a silver nsx there. but since that was the TOYOTA Grand Prix of Long Beach their true sportscar Solara was the feature pace car. Nice to see the NSX as the feature pace car of the HONDA Grand Prix of Monterey.

Yes lot's of coverage on the NSX, but I can assure you who ever designed/painted that senseless redstripe on the side in combination with black wheels on a once beautiful blue was not from this forum. I attended the Honda Grand Prix this last weekend and witnessed a unusually large amount of wrecks which brought out the many yellow flags and unfortunately forced everyone to see a poorly represented NSX.
So many that the scheduled 83 lap race was shortened to a timed race. More like around 60something laps, many of them with the yellow flag out, being led by this red,black and blue NSX.ARGH!!!There were also several laps featuring just the pace cars themselves which included a Viper,S2000,Solara and a....I forget, there was even a guy with a super bike taking laps!?!?

The red-stripe you saw is actually the MCI/Worldcom logo.

I agree... they need to put some cooler wheels and get rid of the ads.

ohhh!!I can't recall seeing the star or the letters M-C-I, but your probably right.
