Today was the day I finally took the NSX out of winter storage. We still have a lot of snow here but most of the roads are pretty dry and the sun was shinning. Besides, I couldn’t wait any longer. I store my NSX away from my residence so I don’t even get to gaze at it’s sleek sexy lines as it sleeps … makes for a very long winter.

A quick charge of the battery and it started right up. A quick check of the fluids and tire pressure then I'm off! The first ride of the season always surprises me because the car is so easy to drive. A few easy miles then a spirited drive down the highway to remind me why this car is so much fun, Here’s praying for a great summer!

The thing I've been worried about is rock chips due to the gravel all over the road this time of year. I already have gotten a couple chips. :frown:

Do you drive yours daily?

I try to drive it most days but I don't consider it a daily driver as I use a truck for work. Usually I just take it for a spin when I have the time and when the weather cooperates ... often this means latter in the evening.

Rock chips are a problem any time but especially this time of year since the roads still have a lot of sand and grit on them but I try not to obsess about it. I try to use common sense … avoid bad streets, don’t follow too close, pass slower vehicles very fast:biggrin: , etc. There are a few roads that have at lot of truck traffic which I try to avoid. The fun of owning a NSX is driving it, worrying about rock chips and door dings will only take away from your enjoyment

It was 22 here yesterday (fri) and I decided to take my baby out for a rip too. Ahhh, so sweet. Too bad the road up to Gatineau mountain was closed still, as its the niocest, twistiest, cleanest strip of asphalt around (TO boys, think of Forks of the Credit but 20X longer).

Biggest disappointment was discovering my new BBS rims are missing this valve device that allows me to get air into the tires! So..now I have to find the stem!

Otherwise, 'twas a glorious Friday afternoon

Hey Oyagi, that twisting road sounds too inviting !!! Why don't we set up a NSX get together up there ? I won't mind driving in from T.O.

I've been hinting at this for a while, but no one seems interested :(

The locals use that road all the time. Very scenic, and the top of the mountain there's a great parking spot called "Champlain Lookout" where you can see all of the Ottawa valley. Quite nice. The trip down will take you to a small quaint little granola town called Chelsea where yuppies can be spotted buying ice cream :P

I just checked out the 3M Clear bra on a Porsche and it looks like nothing really - I'm considering it - should help a bit.
