Went to my dealer to get an estimate on reupholstering both seats (black leather), as the bolsters (especially on the outside of the driver's seat) were really worn/cracked from previous owners plopping in the seat without taking care of the leather, etc. And the car only has 58K miles on it...
I won't state what the quote was (needless to say, I could have bought a herd of cows for the amount...the reupholstering shop said NSX seats were "even worse than Porsche seats" to reupholster...perhaps based on the complexity and shape)...but here is the interesting part.
I asked if the NSX logo...as depicted on the floor mats, could be reproduced centered on the seat just below the headrest...in this case done in red to match the exterior of the car.
A couple of hours later, the dealer called and said that it was OK. They had called Acura USA (or whomever) to see if it could be done (since the dealer was involved) because putting the logo on the seats required "permission" since that was not an official NSX option! Obviously I could have gone straight to a vendor and had it done regardless...but I just found that interesting!
