NSX is such a disease

I put my 91 NSX for sale today just to make my wife happy and will only have one car which is an 01 E46 M3 (not a bad car) but when I went for a quick ride, I could not see myself without the NSX - although the M3 is much faster - but the NSX is such a disease that won't leave you - if some miracle happens and I get to keep the NSX, I will definitely buy a 97+ in a year or two as I don't like the speed on the 91 now due to the M3

just thought I would share that

Nice to hear how deep of an impression the NSX has w/ owners, and how that feeling doesn't subside upon selling!

In regards to your statement above, what about the 1997's NA2 3.2L 6spd. do you particularly fancy - the 6spd. transmission (shorter gear-ratios for quicker acceleration primarily in gears 1-2) or the increased displacement of the powerplant (3.0L -> 3.2L)? Quite often, I/H/E on a '91 NSX will put it on par w/ a '97+ in terms of rwhp & performance... however gearing will be unchanged.

Man do I know the feeling. I sold my NSX for an E46 which I in turn sold in 3months to buy an S2k and then full circle to the NSX again in a year. The E46 was an great car, but it was missing the sportscar feel. The S2k was an incredible car especially with the Comptech SC  , but in the end it came down to the magic that I experience behind the wheel of the NSX.

It has probably been said to the Nth degree on these boards that the NSX doesn't have the ultimate speed, ultimate grip, ultimate comfort, etc, but it's the total package that makes the NSX so special.

Well said, my sentiments exactly.

Well the 97+ was upgraded in many ways such as drive by wire throttle - also bigger and better rims and better Traction control - By the time I spend the money to upgrade the 91 (including short gears), I will almost be in the price range of the 97+ NSX - so it's not wise to do that

Why dont you post some info about your car NSX7.

I know at least one person who is looking for the right NSX.

please don't tell them about my car - I am still praying for a miracle that will make my wife understand that I love her more than the car - and that I can afford having an M3 as a winter car and an NSX as a summer car and 2 kids and a wife - I have all the faith that we still live in an era where miracles can happen

Get divorced and keep both cars... That's what I did!

Give the M3 to your wife and keep your NSX... That's what my friend did!

As my Dad told me when I was young... "You can achieve anything you want to in life! It just depends what you want to sacrifice or go without to achieve it"

Your dad is 100% correct.... but keep both cars... no use in letting a perfectly good M3 go to waste!

Re: perceptions...

Sell the M3 and buy 2 econo cars with the cash.

OK - after too much thinking and talking to the wife, I decided to sell the
M3 and keep the NSX - could not see myself driving anything else but the NSX - and will probably get an 04 TL - 6spd instead of the M3 to enjoy with the family

anyone has any impressions on the TL ???
