I just removed mine recently.Mine was secured with the pins & the duoble sided tapeGo to Home Depot, in the plumbing dept you will find a very inexpensive pvc cable saw that is used to cut pvc in very tight spots. This has two small handles connected via a very thin, very flexible cable that I used to slid under the emblem and cut thru the tape and pins in less than 60 seconds without making a mark on the paint. I was sure to "saw" in a directions that was up and away from the paint.Very easy and very cheapGood luck
