I was playing around on getauto.com (one of my competitors) and found this thing. Pretty wild.

That thing is hideous!

Actually it would be half-way decent if the rear spoiler were taken out and the trunk was altered in a way that makes it look flush in the back. Otherwise...

Yes, let's go dump some... just kidding. (NetViper, you still have your sense of humor intact, right?)

I've seen a couple of NSX convertibles up close. They've been, well... let's just say that fit and finish isn't up to Honda standards. Or Hyundai standards, even.

The bigger downside, of course, is the lack of reinforcement for the removal of the top. Even if they've added reinforcement, they can't make up for the thicker metal used in the side rails etc of the NSX-T and other design changes they made in the factory NSX-T.

Ken, for once I couln't agree with you more. I realize thefit and finish of my convert needs some big improvements. No, the pics are not of my car (thank God) but you know that I am taking a stab at doing the wide body conversion using JGTC components. Hopefully when I am done my car will be more refined than the example above. And I am taking your advice on a track car. I am buying a 2nd NSX that is completely stock and making it track worthy. Then I will have the best of both worlds.

Juice,

I'm sorry - I wasn't even referring to your car. (There was another one I had seen before that was worse than yours.)

Funny, what I remember about yours is the blue interior lights, and how you were trying to convert all of them. It was actually kinda cool. Did you finally succeed in that?

And the two NSX idea is cool too - lets you build each car to be good at what you want it to. Good luck on the modding and keep us posted. (It's been a long time since you posted here, glad to have you back again.)

I'll be at Mid-Ohio the first weekend in April (NASA) and the last weekend in May (BMW CCA) in case you'd like to stop by, or even sign up for either event if you get your track NSX by then.

No offence taken. I would love to join you in May at Mid Ohio. I recently lost my Acura Legend to a Dodge Ram truck, and am trying to replace it with a M3. I'm afraid this puts my 2nd NSX on hold, but if I get my M3 in time...
