NSX and CHP Thursday Approx: 10:30am

I was on 280 heading southbound when I saw a black NSX and 2 CHP cruisers pulled over on the side. I dont quite remember the exact location but it was probably around Crystal Springs Reservoir or past 92. Driver had his front hood opened while the 2 officers were looking. Wonder what that was? Anyone here on Prime?

how funny, same thing happened to me. darn cop took me to pop my hood for inspection and so i did right. i then went over to open the hood and showed him. cop was like WTF! i then told him that nsx are powered by electric and point to the blower stating its the generator. pissed him off. he then told me he will place me under arrest and i lied to a peace officer. i said no, i asked me to open the hood and i did hehe. long story short, he felt dumb b/c he works for the traffic and illegal modfied dept.

THAT WAS ME!! pulled me over for tint, and then smelled some weed in my car.. searched the car.. found my Apexi a/f controller and didnt know what it was so he wrote on my ticket that i had a modified emissions computer (trip to STate Ref.), no front plate, tint, and marijuana less then 1oz. *sigh* hand cuffed and put in the back of the cruiser.. luckly wasn't arrested.

Darryl looks like your a bad role model for kids growing up with todays peer pressure and obstacles, next time so kids won't pick up bad habits please put on a front plate :biggrin:

you are very lucky he didn't try and say you were under the influence just because your car smelt like weed... that's no bueno man. Glad you didn't get in more trouble.

Glad it wasnt "too" serious. Seems CHP is going after anything they can nowadays to make money for the State. I go pulled over back in January on a bogus no seat belt and no front plates when I was driving my Porsche. Was one of the CHP officers named Garcia?

I was cruising this morning on 880 north and ran into a procession of police bikes/cruisers on their way to the procession in Oakland for the slain officers.

They were taking up the entire left lane so I cautiously passed them and it's funny seeing them all turn their heads....hehehehe

OMG.. the guy that pulled me over and wrote me up was Garcia.. he was all acting like hes a good guy buy not writing up more violations my car being too low which it isnt, but there was no more space on the ticket to write anything. And all saying that im lucky that he did not have my car towed. But he was a total douche.

He's the douche bag that wrote me up for no seat belt. I think he's a rookie but hard to tell since he didnt take off his dark sunglasses.

He also wrote me up for no front license plate but I had it on. The idiot didnt look under the front bumper as the early Porsches had the plates mounted underneath the bumper.

Every CHP I know are very cool and let a lot of things slide. Try comparing them to HPD (honolulu police depart,hawaii) then you can talk about pricks and douches. I know a lot of my friends are HPD, and my uncle is a police captain.:biggrin:

They a getting a slight nudge to be a little more strict on people. But close call on the bud bro. Hope everyone drives safe.
