NSX and C112 Mercedes -- separated at birth?

This V12-powered, gullwing-door concept supercar from 1991 looks familiar.

Some definite similarities there, but i think it's mostly the fashion-look of the time. You could also argue the front looks somewhat like an F40. The side and cockpit have a very strong NSX-flavour.

ROFL at the side mirrors... if they were any bigger, the car would look like mickey mouse!
