NSX 1999 Manual wanted

I bought a manual on CD-ROM for my 95 on Ebay from this guy: autonutz2003 for 13.95 + 4.25 s/h. I am still waiting to receive it, but a lot of other people have bought similar manuals on CD-ROM from him and it seemed that they are satisfied. I'll let you know when I get mine; if it's as what's advertised, you can email him and ask him for the 99. At the time I remembered seeing one for 99 and other years as well.

If you only have a single problem that you need to work on, an electronic version might work. But, in my experience, if you're going to be doing a lot of work on your car, it's a lot easier to have an actual hard copy handy to work from. It's easier to see and move it around from one part of the car to another. It's worth every penny.

$99.00!!!! Please keep in mind that I am married to a Scottish wife, plus my 30,000 mile is on Friday.

Hi all

Why I want the service manual ? I hesitate between an NSX and a Lotus Elise (with K20A swap), and want to compare the two cars (chassis, weight, quality, cost of ownership ...) before deciding.
And the best way (I think) to compare cars is reading the service manuals.
Leaving in Europe, there is not a big community of NSX drivers here, and Honda dealers are so ... stupid here (they retain information and don't like the DIY).

Thanks to all!

I've checked the Helm site several times recently (for reference for others - already have mine) - it is coming up short on finding ANY manuals for the NSX - have they discontinued this series???

I just went to the Helm site, clicked on "Aftermarket", "Acura", "Service and Owner Information", "1999 (for Denns) - NSX - (all types)". All it shows is the "Shop Manual Supplement", which are changes (VERY minor) since the entire shop manual was published. If you do a search using 1997 instead of 1999, you will see that you can indeed buy the entire shop manual, for $99 for the '97 (or $76 for the '91-96). So you have to be smart enough to try putting in the previous year(s) to yours to find the one that's applicable to your year of car.

The service manual is comprehensive and invaluable. BMW owners have looked at mine at the track and always comment that they wish their manuals were as good. If you don't do your own service work, then there's no need to buy it - but if you do your own service work, it's worth every penny.

This is what I get - tried this both from home pc & at work - do you possibly have a cached screen Ken, or what is wrong at my end?

As someone who has spent decades suffering with manuals for European cars ( Always a favorite - the procedure that starts with a sentence like " Remove the steering column from the car " without the slightest clue how to do that - I guess they assume that you were born with the innate ability to do it ) I totally agree with nsxtasy about the quality of the factory manuals. Buy them even if you are not planning to work on the car. By looking up a procedure before going to the mechanic you will know what is being done to your car and be able to talk knowledgeably to the mechanic. They will also be a selling point when you sell the car in the future - who knows they may be out of print by then.

I know what happened.

On one of the previous screens, it asks you to enter the year of the car. If you enter:

97

it will come up empty, and that's apparently what you did.

I entered:

1997

and I got all the choices I could want. So you need to enter the full four digits of the model year.

You can accuse them of poor design of their website application, but not of discontinuing the manuals... ;)
